Experience
Linda began her work in integrative health in 1998 as a certified massage therapist, and she quickly became interested in exploring the vast landscape of various healing modalities. In 2005, she graduated from the UCSF School of Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, with an emphasis on Occupational and Environmental Health. In 2007, Linda joined the internal medicine group at Women’s Health Primary Care at UCSF, where she took care of a diverse population for eighteen years.
In 2023, Linda became a Fellow with the Osher Collaborative Faculty Fellowship for Integrative Health, further expanding her integrative health expertise. As an Integrative Nurse Practitioner with the UCSF Osher Center, she treats a wide range of adult patients combining conventional biomedicine with evidence-based and evidence-informed complementary therapies. Working in tandem with a patient’s primary care or gynecology provider, Linda helps manage many issues, including perimenopause/menopause, chronic pain, irritable bowel syndrome and fatigue. She also works with patients interested in an integrative approach to treating metabolic disorders/metabolic syndrome.
Linda takes a “Mind-Body” approach to health care, addressing physical health and disease prevention as well as emotional health and the psychological and spiritual well-being of her patients. She routinely recommends integrative therapies such as acupuncture, yoga, meditation, biofeedback and breathwork. Linda passionately believes that “Food Is Medicine” and “Movement Is Medicine,” and as such, she counsels patients about healthy lifestyle practices which invariably include guidance on diet and daily movement.
