Optimizing health and wellness after cancer treatment

In this 9-visit clinical program, survivors of cancer who have concluded active treatment learn in a group setting to optimize their health and wellness from an interdisciplinary team with expertise in health psychology, spiritual care, physical therapy, cancer coaching, and oncology nutrition.

Once the Overview is completed, patients may attend any of the topics, which rotate each week throughout the year. Attending all 9 topics is encouraged, but not required.

Topics include:

  • Overview of Survivorship and This Group Program
  • Nutrition
  • Physical Activity
  • Managing Stress
  • Sleeping Well
  • Promoting Emotional Wellbeing
  • Spirituality and Finding Meaning after Cancer
  • Sexual Wellness and Body Image
  • Health Promotion and Wellness Goal-Setting

Eligible patients include those who received their cancer treatment at UCSF and are currently in survivorship (have no evidence of active cancer).
