RENEW Study
The UCSF RENEW study is seeking breast cancer survivors to participate in one of two integrative health programs. We are looking to see if people can successfully complete these programs.
Participation involves being assigned to one of two programs:
- Facing Forward Health Education Program involves an interactive educational experience with topics including coping with emotional hardships, nutrition, and taking care of yourself after treatment
- Ayurveda Program involves meeting one-on-one with a trained Ayurveda practitioner and includes using approaches like nutrition, yoga, and lifestyle practices. Ayurveda is a holistic health approach that started in South Asia thousands of years ago.
- Participate for 6-12 months
- Receive up to $40 for participating in the study
You may be eligible if:
- You are a breast cancer survivor in remission
- You were diagnosed with stage 1-3 breast cancer
- You received chemotherapy
- You are within 3 years post-treatment of primary therapy
