Experience and Current Work
Adriana Eslamian is an MD candidate at St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed the majority of her 3rd year of medical school before starting the TRIM program at UCSF. In medical school she completed rotations in Reno, Nevada and underserved areas of central California. She is going to pursue a career as a primary care physician and use integrative medicine to help offer her patients more holistic treatment options tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
As a TRIM research fellow, Adriana is working with Dr. Rick Hecht and Dr. Laura Saslow on the LEGEND study to assess the effects of different dietary approaches on blood sugar management in people with Type 2 Diabetes. She also wants to explore the relation between depression and diabetes.
