2/15 Deadline for Students in Integrative Medicine for ACIMH LEAPS Program

The Leadership and Education Program for Students in Integrative Medicine (LEAPS) aims to enhance medical student education in evidence-based integrative medicine, prepare participants to become student leaders for integrative medicine education at their schools, and support students’ personal and professional development. LEAPS, a program of the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine and Health (ACIMH), is currently accepting applications from health professional students to attend their 2018 workshop from June 10-15 in Oceanside, California.
Participants should have a demonstrated interest in integrative medicine and demonstrated willingness to take on leadership roles within their institution or community. Participants may include students in the following disciplines: medicine, osteopathy, nursing, physical therapy, pharmacy, psychology, social work, allied health, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, and naturopathy, among others. The program will focus on developing leadership skills, integrative medicine education, self-care skills, and developing integrative medicine projects to implement at their own home schools. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The deadline for applications is February 15, and a total of 20 students will be selected. Details and online application may be found on the ACIMH website.
