Complementary medicine has been written into the federal constitution of Switzerland since 2009. What impact has this political decision had on the development of complementary medicine in that country? Pierre-Yves Rodondi, MD will speak about several issues, including:

  • teaching integrative medicine to medical students,
  • certification of complementary medicine therapists,
  • evidence-based data,
  • reimbursement by insurance companies, and
  • clinical care for patients in Switzerland.

He will also discuss how this development could contribute to the spread of complementary medicine abroad.
