Experience
Rebecca Sheaff Greiner is a physician assistant who provides integrative oncology care to people living with cancer and beyond cancer. Prior to her physician assistant education, Greiner’s research career focused on the metabolism of omega-3 fatty acids in retina and brain development. She was a post-doctoral researcher at NIAAA/NIH, Rockville, MD from 1997 to 2002. Subsequently, she was a part-time lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and taught in the Public Health Sciences and Kinesiology departments.
Greiner first combined her interests in nutrition and wellness with her career in as a physician assistant in the Integrative Oncology Clinic at Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC.
At the Osher Center for Integrative Health, she continues assisting people with cancer using a whole person, individualized approach. She helps patients manage symptoms from cancer or its treatment and provides guidance about nutrition, sleep, supplements, stress management, and exercise. Greiner also enjoys Culinary Medicine which is based on using “food as medicine” and and enjoys helping patients cook their way to health.
