About our Clinic

We are conveniently located at the UCSF Mount Zion Campus in San Francisco. You can make an appointment with or without a physician referral.

At the Osher Center, a team of health professionals works with you to address whole-person healing, not just treatment of isolated ailments. Our collaborative approach includes conventional and integrative practitioners working together, and partnering with you to
provide the best quality of care.

We want to work with our patients to become informed consumers of integrative medicine services. Our mission is to search for the most effective treatments for patients by combining both conventional and alternative approaches that address all aspects of health and wellness - biological, psychological, social and spiritual.

It is the goal of the Osher Center to create a healing environment to support and stimulate the therapeutic process. Stop by our center to enjoy the relaxing and welcoming environment.

Payment Information

We accept cash, check or credit cards for all services provided. All services are eligible for use with Healthcare Savings Accounts and Healthcare Reimbursement Accounts.

Insurance Coverage

Osher Center clinic has begun accepting insurance coverage for some services. At this time we accept insurance for MD/NP visits provided at the Center. It is important that patients review their insurance plan benefits carefully to determine if their plan pays for the service(s) that will be received at the Center. Some insurance plans may require pre-treatment authorizations for certain services. There may also be frequency limitations to the number of visits approved for a particular service. If this is the case patients are expected to obtain prior approval from their insurance carrier and provide a copy of the authorization for treatment to the Osher Center clinic staff. If the plan does not cover a specific service patients are expected to pay for the service provided.

Self Pay for MD/NP visits

In the event the insurance plan does not cover a particular MD/NP visit at the Center patients are responsible for payment. In this case the fee for the service will be discounted 30% from the UCSF Fee Schedule. At the time of the visit patients are asked to sign an insurance waiver which acknowledges that their insurance plan does not cover the service being provided. It is expected that patients are prepared to make the payment for the service at the time of the visit.

The clinic providers and staff at Osher Center value our patients. The staff will be available to answer your questions.
