Instructor, Mindfulness-Based Childbirth & Parenting
Nancy Bardacke, RN, CNM, MA is a Certified Nurse-Midwife, mindfulness teacher and the founder of the Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP) Program. She currently teaches the MBCP Program at the Osher Center and other Bay Area locations. Ms. Bardacke is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Health Care Nursing at UCSF. She has been assisting families during pregnancy and childbirth for almost four decades.
Ms. Bardacke completed her degrees in Nursing and Nurse-Midwifery from UCSF and her Master’s Degree in Anthropology from UC Berkeley. A meditation practitioner for 26 years, Ms. Bardacke attended Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Professional Trainings with Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD and completed the Teacher Development Intensive for Advanced Mindfulness Instructors through the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical Center.
Since 1998 Ms. Bardacke has taught the Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting Education Program and mindfulness courses and workshops to thousands of expectant parents and health care professionals locally and nationally.
