What is Integrative Medicine

Integrative medicine seeks to incorporate treatment options from conventional and alternative approaches, taking into account not only physical symptoms, but also psychological, social and spiritual aspects of health and illness. Brad Jacobs

The Integrative Medicine approach at the Osher Center is based on the following principles:

Collaborative care
Our diverse practitioners work as a team, integrating multiple therapies when appropriate, to provide the best possible care.

Relationship-centered care
Our practitioners listen carefully to your concerns and develop a partnership with you. We believe this therapeutic alliance is essential to your healing.

Respect for the human capacity for healing
We believe there is an innate drive toward health in every person. Our practitioners support this process.

Self-care
We emphasize a self-care model in which patients are asked to participate actively in their treatment.

We invite you to explore the services offered in our clinical practice. You can access these therapies and classes directly, with or without referral from your medical doctor.
