Mindfulness Scholarship Programs Studies show Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an effective way to help people with a variety of conditions such as chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and fibromyalgia. MBSR is an eight week program that introduces students to mindfulness meditation. Participants learn to bring meditation, body awareness, and mindful movement into their lives and especially into their physical or mental health situation. Since 2001, we have been able to offer scholarships to enrollees of the MBSR Program who meet criteria of financial need, thanks to the generosity of donors. This scholarship program has been immensely successful. Many people have found much needed hope and relief with mindfulness practice.
