The Pritzker Lecture Series on Integrative Pediatrics and Adolescent Health Healthy Kids, Happy Lives Our inaugural lecture of this new series will feature integrative medicine
pioneer, Dr. Tieraona Low Dog. Dr. Low Dog’s extensive career in studying natural medicine began more than twenty-five years ago. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. She currently serves as the Director of Education at the Integrative Medicine Program at the University of Arizona. She is an internationally known speaker on topics ranging from the responsible use of herbal medicine and dietary supplements to integrative approaches to women’s health and integrative pediatric and adolescent care; with more than 30 publications to her credit. She serves on the editorial/advisory boards of Menopause and Explore journals, Prevention magazine and the American Botanical Council. She has appeared on E!, ABC’s 20/20, CNN, and is a frequent guest NPR’s The People’s Pharmacy. In 2000, she was appointed by President Bill Clinton to serve on the
White House Commission of Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Dr.
Low Dog received Time Magazine's Innovator in Complementary and Alternative
Medicine Award in 2001.
