Judith Wrubel

Judith Wrubel, PhD, is Research Specialist in the Department of Medicine and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Physiological Nursing at UCSF. She received her PhD in Human Development and Aging at UCSF.

Her research interests include the maintenance of well-being under conditions of chronic stress; coping with caregiving an ill partner or child, and skill development in informal caregivers. She is co-investigator of an NIMH-funded qualitative study of the role of coping and positive emotion in people newly dignosed with HIV and is the qualitative analyst of an NIMH-funded study of the care preferences of people at the end of life. She serves as a member of the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine Qualitative Methods Core.
